This is a comprehensive degree course at Higher Level that encompasses modules of Beauty Therapy, Hair Dressing and Make-Ups. The course covers skills from basic to advance level, along with internships; project works; practical’s; industry visits and guest lectures from visiting faculties. The course is in compliance with NSQF levels and UGC guidelines, catering to a holistic professional development of the student. The topics covered in hair dressing range from the hair structure, chemical composition of hair, basic skills such as combing, sectioning, shampooing, blow drying, basic to advanced cuts, basic to advanced styling techniques, basic to advanced chemical jobs of hair including re-bonding, smoothening, perming, straightening, to up-most treatments of hair including spa procedures and deep conditioning.
In aesthetics the topics covered range from the basics such as managing basic cosmetics, setting trolley and setting the salon bed, the skin structure and properties of skin, threading, tweezing, depilation, body and face massage, cleansing basic to advanced facials, manicure and pedicures, through to advanced beauty therapy and skin treatment procedures, aesthetic electrology, advanced manicures, pedicures, cosmetic electrology, aroma therapy and peeling procedures. The course also includes from foundation of art of make up through to higher and specialist level of professional make ups. One would be taken through all the stages of learning of the art of using colour cosmetics for make ups, starting with the need for make-up, the tools and implements employed, various types of make-ups from self-day make-up, evening make-up, party make-up, engagement make-up, bridal make-up, glamorous make-up, fancy make-up, black & white make-up, special effects make-up, aqua colour mask make-up, bronze make-up and catwalk make-up to name a few, going on to special techniques of eye make-ups, application of lip liners and of false eye lashes, preparation of European brides and much more.
